What does your participation mean to Freedom Weekend Aloft?
That FWA's Board of Directors and the 1000+ volunteers have the necessary corporate support to continue:
To plan and execute an event capable of creating a positive economic impact for the community in excess of $7,000,000 annually.
To plan and execute an event with the potential of filling virtually every hotel and motel room in Simpsonville and surrounding areas.
To bring media attention to the Upstate and Simpsonville community through national television and print mediums. Southern Living was present at the 2000 event with both reporters and photographers to write a feature article which cited the event as a Can't Miss Destination. Also, footage from FWA was on NBC's Today Show in 1999 to cite only a few examples.
To host an event that is ALL INCLUSIVE and not cost prohibitive to anyone; an event that everyone from all walks of life can enjoy. We hope to enhance the wonderful quality of life that Upstate residents enjoy! We want to continue with FREE GENERAL ADMISSION FOR MANY MANY MANY YEARS.
